Short of that, all of the inexpensive adjustable benches will have, more-or-less, the same problem you are already experiencing. Rather than a cushion, make a spacer as a base for your Yamaha bench? Extending the legs is problematic, but if secured inside a well-fit, 2" riser that is a connected frame/platform and not just 4 individual risers, it should stress the joints less and be far safer. Jansen also sells extra long legs that fit their benches.perhaps a set would fit the original Yamaha bench? It won't match the finish perfectly, but with enough measurements, you might be able to tell if it will work. Not likely to match anything, but there are many that are sturdy and cheap if separated from an out-of-service organ. Many of them are tall, perhaps some are a height you can work with. ![]()
